ProStore® Strategy Engine
The Strategy Engine is a form of dynamic configuration in which simple rules are defined for different tasks. The user can adjust these independently without the need of further programming.
The ProStore® Strategy Engine is used in all processes in which variable flows are needed, for example, strategies for storage and warehouse space search. This set of dynamic rules also supports the release strategies for picking and the supply line. The Strategy Engine has a hierarchical system structure. The different strategy types, which are positioned at the top level of the system, are defined according to the respective business processes.
The strategy types are divided into individual strategies, which divide the process into logical object portions, such as within release strategies, where they are divided into different release times.
The specific rules within such a strategy can be enabled or disabled individually. Within these rules, all the conditions are formulated in concrete terms and they are determined by links and priority sequences. Some strategies, such as the storage process, are so complex that there can sometimes be up to 100 different possibilities that may be applied. By applying these rules, the user is in a flexible position and can decide when, how long and for which area the previously defined rules should be used.
